Weekly Commitments
Accountability structures need to stay top of mind in order to be effective. Consistency is key.
Track Progress
Each week, the leaders will be accountable to creating the story of change for their organization. What these commitments look like will be custom for each leader, reflecting their unique story of change and the motivation tools that work best for them.
Leader Board Motivation
The community is gamified. Points and badges are earned for participation, accountability, community support, and vulnerability. With a story-based prize at the end of the program for the points leader, healthy competition becomes a motivational tool.
1on1 Sessions
Change journeys are deeply unique to the organization. Your stewardship program should reflect that.
Biweekly 45-90 Min Calls
Every Two Weeks, Virtual
These 1on1 recalibration calls are the foundation for shaping our behaviour during the journey. We'll reflect on the weekly accountability progress, identify influences, and brainstorm how we can recalibrate for the next 2 weeks.
Bimonthly Half Day Sessions
Every Two Months, In Person
A 1on1 Step 0 Diagnosis session where we review your wins, detours, patterns and opportunities. This is a chance to refine the arc of your organization's story and venture ahead with clarity and confidence.
Community Platform
Change is an individual journey, but that doesn't mean it should be a lonely one.
Monthly Group Calls, 60-90 Mins
Monthly group calls provide an opportunity to show up for our community both in times of need and times of celebration. We aren't alone in our change journeys.
Private Online Platform
Connect with the other leaders through the private online community platform. It is a space to document wins, access resources for recalibration, and reach out for more immediate outside perspectives in times of need.
More Change Structures
Within the Inner Compass Collective program, we have built-in tools to support your change journey.
The Detour Declaration
Detours happen. Sometimes we get lost, distracted and/or kidnapped. If/when consistency breaks, hop right back on track by completing the Detour Declaration. This grounds us back to our Step 0 map and recalibrates our focus, putting us back on the path for success.
Support vs Solutions
When sharing a reflection in the online group, one of the community rules for accountability is to explicitly indicate whether you are looking for solutions or support. This way, we can create a space of growth and learning through intentional communication and self reflection.
Say No More?
1.
A Story-Driven Growth Framework
During our first session, we'll determine a "Story Arc Word", which will become your North Star. Over the 12 month program, the word becomes the foundation for building your entire change journey based on the story that word invites.
2.
Depth Over Drive-By Coaching
It's a hybrid-model program with an emphasis on 1on1 sessions. Your organization's change journey is unique and deserves deep attention to the story being written. Change is also an intimate journey, which is why the Inner Compass Collective is limited to 6 leaders.
3.
Professional and Personal
Story-driven change ebbs itself into all crevices of life: from personal, to professional, and everywhere in between. Deep change cannot be siloed into only one of the hats we wear, which is why this program is designed for professional leaders who value personal growth and development.
4.
Accountability that Matches Reality
You'll have weekly commitments, check-ins and structures that keep you honest... but also curious, introspective, and self-compassionate.
The structures will be custom designed based on the strategies that work best for you, which we identify during our first session.
Ready to Create Your 2026 Change Story?
Growth
The plot twists, detours, and obstacles are celebrated because of the growth opportunities they present.
North Star
The story-arc follows a north-star vision of what the desired outcome is for the characters involved.
Flexibility
There's still an outline but stories allow for flexibility on "how" the north star vision is obtained.
The Organization Is:
The Entire Story: the setting, the supporting characters, the mission, the purpose, the obstacles.
But it's a lot of information to keep track of.
The Leader Is:
The Protagonist: on a quest to navigate the terrain, solve problems along the way, and be the guide for others.
But it's easy to lose sight of the big picture.
The Accountability is:
The Compass: the tool that keeps you grounded, on track, and reminded of the bigger story being woven.
That's where The Inner Compass Collective comes in.
THIS IS FOR LEADERS WHO WANT
They are:
running their own business or leading a small team
craving to take their organization through a deep big picture change
tired of spinning in reactivity and losing themselves in chaos
ready for deeper insight, deeper growth, and deeper accountability
motivated by meaning, reflection and the archetypal "inner journey"

At the end of the year, the leader board winner will receive a short cinematic video documenting their change journey that reflects the story they created, the journey they embarked on and the change they embodied.
Proof that deep change thrives on storytelling.

what makes this program important for us to offer?

"Change" is such a personal experience that is given a disservice when you're only given 5 minutes of group coaching time every 2 weeks.
NOT IN THIS PROGRAM!

Sustainable change is a journey. It needs time to become integrated in our environment, our habits, our thought patterns, and our perspectives.

"Change" is not a black and white process. It's a journey on its own that will have twists and turns. These are part of the process! These are our greatest learning opportunities.

We are storytelling creatures. Our lives revolve around storytelling. Every movie we watch has a storyline. Here, we get to create the storyline of our own life's movie.

How you do one part of life is how you do all parts of life. This program intertwines with both the personal and professional parts of your life.

Humans make mistakes. It's actually our strongest learning tool. That's why this program is designed to celebrate the lessons learned rather than quit the journey due to imperfection.

This entire program is the result of a 4+ year unfolding inside my own life. A journey that moved me, stretched me, tested me, and rebuilt me. Not one of these words was chosen casually. Each one was intentionally chosen and became a season, a teacher, a mirror, and sometimes a lifeline.
These were the years where everything changed.
And these stories are the foundation of The Inner Compass Collective: the program I wish I had when these words were choosing me before I even chose them.

At one point, I realized that the years of my life inadvertently followed themes:
2018: I captured the beauty of little moments through an app called "One Second Everyday", which documented day-to-day university life, a 5-week summer program in Montreal, the start of a new relationship, and my last semester of university. It captured a year of joy, soft memories, new experiences, and social abundance.
2019: My life fell apart. My relationship was going downhill and by the end of the summer, I had no relationship, no friends, no job, and no direction. So I had to move back in with my parents. On top of that: my mom had broken her shoulder falling down the stairs, my Gramma died, and my brother was getting multiple surgeries. It was a year of hard lessons learned, obstacles, and starting over.
2020: I got a job, had my first solo travel trip to Mexico and moved into a place of my own- all in January. Then the world shut down and I thrived on the slowness of life. I cooked new meals, danced in the kitchen, went for daily morning walks, watched documentaries, and binged a new favourite podcast. It ended up as the year of "being".
2021: The world opened back up again and I jumped into "doing" mode. The volunteer groups I was involved in were running full speed ahead, so it was back to "part time" Media Manager, Treasurer & Band Member roles. I also took on a new role, where I managed an entire local recreation facility. Oh, I had also been a virtual assistant for a business coach since 2018 during this whole time. Plus my main 9-5 job. That's 6 different hats. It was a year with lots of "doing": building systems, gaining experience and creating opportunities.
and then...
My health started going downhill for the first time in my life. I knew something had to change.
Having now recognized the yearly themes in my life, I decided to intentionally take control of the theme I wanted it to take on.
For 2022, I chose "Transformation"... of Mind, Body & Soul.
With this word, I declared that every decision I made would be in the pursuit of transformation.
I enrolled in a fitness program, thinking that would help my health. Spoiler: it did not.
Despite what you may be thinking, I knew that my health issues weren't the result of "too many hats." It was from something deeper. Something was happening on a chemical level. When my face and neck swelled up one random day along with a face infection, I knew I needed to seek deeper help. This wasn't something that antibiotics could provide a long term solution for.
So I went to a blood reader. He did an analysis of how my blood cells were interacting and prescribed a new diet in order to flush out the old cells and allow for clean ones to come in. I did this diet (essentially: no sugar & no yeast) for 6 months and I felt fantastic.
Transformation of body achieved!
But what about mind and soul? Well, my 9-5 job was draining my soul. I was moved around, unappreciated, unrecognized, and stagnant. For months, I felt lost in a form of darkness feeling trapped, defeated, and desperate for a change. I didn't know how to transform my mind and soul.
The 343 Day Journey of Change
When I declared my 2022 word as "Transformation", NO WHERE did it even remotely cross my mind of where that word would take me. It wasn't until December 9th, 2022 that I had a conversation with my aunt that solidified the decision and changed the entire direction of my life... literally: to New Zealand.
December 9th... 343 days into the Year of "Transformation"
That's the power of using story-driven change.
Imagine if I would have quit on day 100...
So in January 2023, I sold most of my belongings, moved the rest into a corner of my Gramma's basement, and packed "my life" onto my shoulders.
In February, I moved to New Zealand. It was an opportunity to "discover" what the world of travelling was like and how I wanted it to look for me. What did my year in New Zealand look like?
I bought a campervan car, and lived out of it for 4 months while exploring
I picked kiwifruit for 2 months with fellow worlding travel backpackers with a kiwifruit orchard as our backyard, eating fresh kiwifruit straight off of the vine and making day trips to the beach or the hot pools on days off.
I migrated to Christchurch where I rented a flat, joined 3 dodgeballs teams, signed up for a gym that changed my life, and worked for the most incredible insurance claims team
I took time off from work to go skiing one day, explore the South of the South for 10 days, and the West Coast for 5 days (where I watched the sunrise in the east and the sunset in the west of the South Island, both in the same day)
I journaled every single day of this journey, documenting all of the beautiful moments of "discovery" along the way
Are you seeing a pattern...?
For the last 2 years, the manifestation of my "word of the year" took shape in December. This is because deep change takes time, consistency and dedication to your North Star (the story being woven).
New Zealand had been my testing grounds. It became a space to "discover" what travelling could look like and "discover" the type of traveler I wanted to be.
This next journey meant that it was time to: Stand Taller. Bolder. More Confident.
I made sure that my word for 2024 reflected this desired change journey.
Near the end of 2023, I had a human design reading done by one of my favourite Manifestors: Nikki Jae. In the reading, she told me about all of the different "Queen" elements in my chart and what they meant.
"Queen" represents someone who is a caretaker of her kingdom, a master of resources, and deeply loves her people. However, you don't betray a Queen. She is kind, soft and loving by default and will shift into fierce protector mode the moment that her, or her kingdom, become threatened.
That is the energy that I wanted to embody for 2024: Simultaneously loving and fierce.
I wore the energy of this word throughout my 5 month SE Asia solo backpacking trip, which transitioned into moving back to Canada to officially start building Kantency, which transitioned into moving to Edmonton and jumping feet first into the networking world.
This word, "Queen", is an interesting one because it didn't end in 2024. There are moments to this very day where I notice the Queen energy coming through, or moments where the crown has started to tip.
Story Based Accountability
When we use story-based words as our accountability foundations, the journey doesn't end when December 31 arrives.
The energy transfers over. The stories continue. It evolves. It compounds.
2025 marked a special year, as it was the first time that I created TWO words of the year: one for Karli, and one for Kantency.
Kantency's word is "Symphony".
To explain it, picture that you are sitting and watching a symphony performance.
Here's what you'll experience:
A large variety of instruments with different energies that come together to play us a song
Some instruments are used for accentuation, some are the sole focus, and others are used simply to amplify other sounds. Regardless, they all have an important part to play.
The songs they play are intricate, beautifully woven and intentional.
The audience is taken on a journey of highs and lows, each part integral to the story being sold.
We feel the depth of the story to our core, moved by the magic being woven into the air around us.
That is what Kantency's "Symphony" represents
Now, what about Karli?
After some brainstorming with Chat GPT, I discovered that every symphony needs...
a "conductor."
A conductor is the leader of the symphony. They are responsible for the cohesion of the performance.
They are simply a conduit. Their attention is solely on the success of the instruments in the symphony. Their back is even towards the audience.
The symphony is simply a tool for the conductor to convey a message and an experience to the audience at large.
The conductor also has a responsibility that goes beyond the moments when they stand on the stage. Off stage, they must continue to harness their craft, learn new skills, and heighten their abilities.
